NJ Construction Company Faces $191K in OSHA Penalties

DH Construction LLC, a New Jersey-based construction company, is facing $191,215 in proposed penalties from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

According to OSHA, the company exposed its contractors to scaffold hazards at its Philadelphia construction site. Specifically, OSHA discovered employees working on a scaffold that was closely positioned near power lines. “Scaffolding hazards continue to be one of OSHA’s most frequently cited violations. These well-known scaffold hazards could have been avoided if basic safety practices were implemented,” said OSHA Area Director Theresa Downs, in Philadelphia.
