The most recent 24.7 update introduces several highly anticipated new features and enhancements designed to improve training management, enhance awareness and accountability, streamline GHG reporting, and support better incident event tracking.
Managing training at large organizations can be challenging when responsibility falls on a single administrator. In response to customer feedback, we have introduced the ability to delegate training management to site-specific managers.
Key Features:
Before this update, training was classified as either One-Time or Ongoing, with One-Time assignments. This feature is designed for training that needs to be retaken outside of the regular course schedule, in response to incidents or unsafe observations. It allows for ad-hoc assignment of training and separate management from users' ongoing required training.
Key Features:
Acknowledgment Requirements can now be assigned as ongoing and recurring requirements, which helps improve efficiency in managing acknowledgments over time. Additionally, the introduction of the One-Off Acknowledgment Form and Reports allows for ad-hoc assignment of acknowledgments and separate management from ongoing required assignments, ideal for updates in between scheduled tasks.
Key Features:
Companies completing GHG Reporting calculate their GHG emissions using emissions factors that are sourced from regulatory authorities, like the EPA. Each year an updated set of factors is published to provide current year factor values. Currently, customers using EPA factors in their emissions calculations must manually look up the factors that apply to them in the spreadsheet provided in the EPA's GHG Emission Factors Hub, then enter the values into their Factor list in EHS Insight. Additionally, customers need to manually review and update their factors each year when new calendar year values are made available by the EPA to ensure their calculations are accurate for the current year. With this update, we've introduced the Emissions Factor Library which provides customers with an up-to-date library of EPA GHG Emissions Factors to utilize in their GHG calculations, simplifying the process of managing emissions data.
Key Features:
Reducing total incident rates does not always decrease the number of fatalities. Therefore, tracking Significant Injuries and Fatalities (SIFs) separately is essential. Many EHS Insight customers have requested we enhance our Incident Event module to include SIF data collection functionality. Recognizing the importance of prioritizing SIFs in EHS functions, we are excited to offer a user-friendly solution for reporting on SIF incidents.
Key Features:
These updates are designed to streamline your EHS management processes, enhance safety and compliance, and provide better data for informed decision-making. We look forward to seeing how these new features improve your EHS operations.
